Frequently asked questions

What is NoCheck?
NoCheck is a free vehicle maintenance tracker for Android and iOS. You keep your vehicles in one "garage", log each service, and get reminded before the next one is due — by distance, engine hours or time. Your garage is stored on your device, so it works offline, and there are no ads.
How does NoCheck track maintenance?
Each vehicle starts with a built-in maintenance library — oil changes, brakes, filters, tires and dozens more, pre-set for its type — and every item has an interval measured the way that service really is: distance (km or miles), engine hours, time, or whichever comes first. Update the reading now and then, log a service when it's done, and NoCheck shows each item as on track, due soon, due now or overdue.
When does NoCheck remind me?
A notification goes out before a service is due, but only for reminders that include a time interval: once when the item becomes due soon, and again when it is due. Every item also shows its status in the app — on track, due soon, due now or overdue — where "due soon" starts after the share of the interval you set in Settings. Distance and engine-hour dues follow your latest reading, so NoCheck can also remind you to update it — on the schedule you choose and, if you switch it on, shortly after your phone connects to your car — automatically on Android, and on iPhone through a Shortcuts automation you set up once.
Is NoCheck free?
Yes. The free plan includes one vehicle with full tracking, reminders, service history, home-screen widgets, the odometer scanner and every language and theme, and no plan shows ads. Premium is optional and adds more vehicles, custom maintenance types and cloud backup.
What does NoCheck Premium include?
Up to 25 vehicles, up to 100 custom maintenance types, and automatic cloud backup — including your vehicle photos — with sync across up to 5 devices. Premium is sold as a monthly or annual subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase, and the app shows the price for your country.
Does NoCheck work offline?
Yes, completely. Your garage is stored on your device, so tracking, reminders and history all work with no internet connection. You need to be online only to sign in for the first time and, on Premium, to sync the cloud backup — both the upload and the restore on a new phone.
Do I need an account?
Yes. You sign in once with Google, Apple or an email link — there is no password to remember. On the free plan your data still lives only on your device: the account is what identifies you, and on Premium it is what your cloud backup belongs to. You can delete the account and everything tied to it at any time from the app's settings.
What happens to my data if I lose my phone?
On the free plan your garage exists only on that device: deleting the app or losing the phone loses the data. Premium backs up every vehicle, maintenance item, service, reading and vehicle photo to the cloud automatically and keeps your devices in sync, so signing in on a new phone brings your garage back.
Which vehicles can I track?
20 vehicle types: car, motorcycle, scooter, bicycle, truck, van, bus, RV, snowmobile, ATV, small boat, sailboat or yacht, jet ski, aircraft, agricultural machinery, construction machinery, generator, riding mower and golf cart — plus "other" for anything else. Pick the make and model from a catalog of 800+ manufacturers and 15,000+ models, or type your own.
Can NoCheck track engine hours instead of mileage?
Yes. Boats, tractors, generators, aircraft and other engine-hour machines are tracked by their hour meter, and their intervals are set in hours or time. Road vehicles are tracked by the odometer in km or miles — you choose the unit per vehicle.
Can NoCheck read my odometer with the camera?
Yes. Point the camera at the odometer and NoCheck reads the number on the device itself — nothing is uploaded — then shows it for you to check before saving. If it can't read the number confidently it keeps looking rather than guessing, and you can always type the reading.
Does NoCheck have a home-screen widget?
Yes, on Android and iOS, and on the free plan too. There are widgets for the next service due, for what's coming up, and for a summary of your garage; you can point one at a particular vehicle, and tapping it opens that screen in the app. Widgets read the garage that is already on your device, so they keep working offline.
Does NoCheck show ads or track me?
No. NoCheck has no ads, no analytics or advertising SDK, and never collects your location. It collects only crash reports, to keep the app stable. What it stores and why is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Which languages does NoCheck support?
NoCheck is available in English, العربية, Čeština, Deutsch, Español, Français, עברית, Magyar, Bahasa Indonesia, Italiano, 日本語, 한국어, Nederlands, Polski, Português (Brasil), Română, Русский, Svenska, Türkçe, Українська, and Tiếng Việt. It picks up your device language on first launch, and you can change it in Settings.
Which platforms is NoCheck on?
Android and iOS. The apps are launching soon — the store links will appear on this page.
